Surgical Tables from Staan Biomed
Staan Biomed Engineering Private Limited is a 10 year old company manufacturing
remote controlled surgical tables for surgical and diagnosis purpose. The company
has also obtained a patent for these tables. Their products are used in orthopedics,
urology, gynecology, gastroenterology, vascular surgery, spine surgery, laparoscopy,
cardiothoracic etc.
The Company
Staan Biomed was established in 2003 and ventured into exports within two years
of its inception. Their manufacture facility is in Coimbatore. The company has
carried out over 2000 installations across India and 15 in Arab countries, Kenya
and Nigeria. Their products are ISO certified and come with CE marking. "Our
products are on par with imported hospital furniture in terms of quality and
features. That is why we have managed to earn a vast client base," says
Maria Albert Stanly, Managing Director.
The Products
They offer a wide range of surgical tables, surgical instruments and implants
as per the specific requirements of the customers. "Remote control operating,
C-arm compatible made of pure stainless steel products are our specialty,"
says Stanly. The company offers special attachment like May Field, Lyela Retractor,
Femur in Lateral Position, Finger Traction as per the demand of the customers.
The Growth
"We always wanted to give the best technology at affordable price,"
says Stanly who attributes the growth to R&D. The company has made sizable
investments in research and development and constantly aims at improving their
products. "We are expecting to increase our revenues by 15 per cent this
year," says Stanly. The growth of the company has been gradual. It did
not seen a negative growth even in its start-up days.
The Clientele
Staan Biomed has been regularly supplying to Government institutions on tender
basis for the past three years. It has established itself in Tamil Nadu and
is gradually increasing its clientele across India. It is eyeing the US, Canada,
Germany and UK markets for exports. The company has established a wide network
of suppliers and distributors to ensure smooth and prompt deliveries.<
