Established in 1997, Nice Neotech was a start up venture of
P Wilson who had more than 20 years experience in manufacture and distribution
of neo natal care equipments. The company steadily grew to become a Private
Limited firm in 2001. Their indigenous products under brand name 'Nice' are
ISO certified. The company is in the process of obtaining CE Marking.
Product Profile
"We are offering neo natal care devices," says P Wilson, Managing
Director. The company offers infant incubator, transport incubator, infant open
care system, infant radiant warmers, phototherapy units (conventional and CFL),
pulse oximeters, infant trolleys, baby weighing scales, oxygen hood and infant
CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) machines.
The products are manufactured at its Chennai factory. The company has a research
and development team that constantly thrives to improvise the existing products
and also works on developing new technologies. "We launch new products
every year," says Wilson. The R and D team primarily works on improving
the patient safety and making equipments more user-friendly. "Our equipments
deal with infants and the safety is our top priority," says Wilson.
New Products
The company introduced pulse oximeters recently. Next on the pipeline is infusion
pumps and syringe pumps. The company is ready with the prototype and the production
is expected to start soon. The R and D team is currently working on the preliminary
stages of developing humidifier. "We are optimistic about this innovation.
We may apply for patent if the research comes out well," says Wilson.
Sales and Service
Nice Neotech engages in sales across the country through dealers' network. It
also engages in exports. Their products has been exported to South Asian and
African countries. Though, the company concentrated in domestic sales than exports,
it plans to concentrate in exports now. It will be attending Arab Health Exhibition,
scheduled to take place in Dubai next year. "We have booked a stall. We
look this as an opportunity to expand our presence in Gulf and across the world,"
says Wilson.
The company strongly relies on the quality of its product for its sales. "We
have not used any strategy so far to increase the enquiry and sales," reveals
Wilson. Most of the company's enquiries have come through reference by existing
customers.
Growth
"We started out with less than ten employees, today
we are a team of 70," says Wilson. The growth of the company has been consistent.
However, with plans to venture into exports, the company hopes to see a massive
growth in the coming years. The need for neonatal equipments will stay forever
as the population is always on rise. "There is scope for business in both
government and private sectors. This means we will grow," says he.
