Healthcare industry is one of the fastest growing sector in
India.
As the demand grows, many new hospital projects are in pipeline.
'Medicall Expo' was started to satisfy the equipment requirements of these hospitals.
The doctors' conference is normally an ideal place for academic interactions.
Very few speciality products are exhibited during these conferences.
A hospital owner has to visit many such conferences to fully
equip their hospital. Medicall serves as a 'one-stop-shop' for all the requirements
of a hospital. This year's show is the third edition of the expo. More than
150 exhibitors from all over the country are exhibiting various products during
the expo.
Interesting products include housekeeping equipment, hospital management softwares,
furniture, hospital linen, special construction materials for hospitals, energy
saving equipment, hospital project consultants ambulance manufacturers, hospital
stationery, teaching aids and mannequins.
The current medical curriculum doesn't train doctors in hospital management,
whereas as a matter of fact many doctors end up building their own hospitals.
In order to fill this lacunae, a hospital construction seminar and a materials
management seminar are organised during the expo.
These seminars will be beneficial for small and medium sized hospital owners
to streamline their operations. Medicall will serve as a hospital needs supermarket
for Indian hospital owners. The show is on August 1-3 2008 at Rajahmuthiah Hall,
Egmore, Chennai.

About the organiser
Medicall Expo is organised by Dr S Manivannan, Executive Director of Kavery
Medical Center and Hospital, a 400 bedded Hospital at Trichy, Tamilnadu. This
hospital was started eight years ago, with 30 beds by young professionals with
limited knowledge about hospital industry. They have faced many hurdles in the
course of the growth and wanted to share their expertise with the rest of the
medical fraternity. Since Medicall Expo is being organised by people who have
been in this field for many years, the content and visitors are expected to
be better than at any other previously held event.
