to acquire at least three hospitals in Kerala and create a chain of Hospitals.

Adopting New technologies
The Hospital boasts of India's first digitally integrated orthopedic theatre
with airflow guided system. The Hospital boasts of state-of-the-art air, water
and surface ambulance facilities with a helipad at the Hospital roof-top.
Patient Care
Patients' appraisal of a hospital is based primarily on the professional expertise
offered. Keenly aware of this, the Hospital has drawn the best professional
skills from key sources across India and around the world. A culture of pleasing
courtesy and brisk efficiency has been inculcated in the entire staff of the
Hospital. "Lakeshore is conscious about cost containment for the people
of the state and we offer a slab system for charges making treatment affordable
across various sections of society," says Dr Augustine.
NABH standards are followed to check the quality aspects and patient friendliness.
Medical audits, peer review audits, quarterly departmental audits, patient rights
defined and displayed in all areas of the hospital, direct patient feedback,
incident reporting and remedial measures are all a part and parcel of the Hospital
environment.
Corporate Social Responsibility
In 2007-08, Lakeshore conducted 22 medical camps and health awareness talks
in various places in Ernakulam, Kottayam and Alapuzha districts in collaboration
with local self-government and social welfare organisations. "These health
camps provided access to primary health services, distribution of medicines,
referrals and discount at Lakeshore Hospital. The average number of beneficiaries
was 700 per camp," explains Dr Augustine. The Hospital adopted Karimaloor
Panchayat for total healthcare of the area in collaboration with local administration
and has been conducting a survey on existing disease patterns, cause of death
in the area.
Long-term Vision
The long term vision of the Hospital is to be a leader in
South India in high end medical treatment and also number one in the country
for medical tourism.
